Hgv Training

Prepare your staff for the new training requirements.

by on March 29, 2010

From 2009 all new drivers will be required to obtain their Drivers CPC. Existing drivers will also be required to have this qualification by 2014. This new regulation will first affect everyone who drives coaches or buses, and over time will also affect all HGV Drivers. This regulation will be mandatory for all of these Drivers – nobody who does not comply will be allowed to continue driving.

Training HGV  is offering courses now so you can start to get all of your employees trained immediately. Don’t wait until the last moment when many others will be desperately attempting to enroll in a class and fighting for space. Your Drivers will be at risk to lose their licenses if they do not get into a class. It’s hard enough now to find qualified Drivers so you will not want to lose the ones that you have on staff currently.

Earning the Driver CPC entails undergoing 35 hours of training, and this will have to be done by each Driver every five years. The regulation has been put in place to ensure that all Driver’s are competent, professional and safe. By getting started now, you will show the public that you care about these regulations and are dedicated to hiring and working with only first rate Drivers.

At Training HGV we understand that the additional training can be difficult to find time for. We have a wide variety of classes available that will work with the schedules of all your staff members, and make sure they do not miss essential work hours.

Contact our knowledgeable staff who will help you understand the requirements and can answer any questions you may have about what your employees need to do in order to receive their Driver CPC, and what you may be required to do in order to remain compliant with all new and upcoming government regulations.
